SanDisk ha annunciato la nuova linea di SSD denominata X210. In accordo al comunicato stampa del produttore, i nuovi drive a stato solido sono particolarmente versatili e, in quanto tali, sono idonei sia alle applicazioni in ambito client computing che a quelle relative agli ambiti data center, cloud e server, tipicamente rivolti al segmento business.
La linea di SSD X210 č composta al momento da tre varianti, caratterizzate da una capacitą di memorizzazione pari a 128GB, 256GB e 512GB rispettivamente. Tutti i drive sono basati su chip di memoria MLC NAND Flash, fabbricati da SanDisk con un processo a 19nm, e sono collegabili con gli host attraverso un'interfaccia SATA 6.0Gbps, o SATA III.
Tra le altre feature dei dispositivi, citiamo il supporto del comando di TRIM e la dotazione della tecnologia proprietaria nCache, con la quale le prestazioni sono ottimizzate. In questa ottica, SanDisk dichiara una velocitą massima in lettura e scrittura (sequenziale) pari rispettivamente a 505MB/s e 470MB/s.
